Forest Dunes appoints Hanse, Wagner for SkyFall course design

Forest Dunes Golf Club in Roscommon, Michigan, has announced the development of a new private golf course called SkyFall, designed by renowned architects Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner. This will be their first original design in Michigan and is expected to start construction in late 2025. SkyFall will join the existing courses at Forest Dunes, which include the original Weiskopf-designed course and the reversible Loop by Tom Doak. The course will feature distinctive elevation changes of up to 70 feet and will be routed through 300 acres of forest land, creating a unique golfing experience. Owners Rich Mack and Tom Sunnarborg expressed excitement about working with Hanse and Wagner again, emphasizing their vision for creating a compelling course that enhances the resort's appeal. The new course aims to contribute to the growing reputation of Forest Dunes as a national golf destination, offering limited tee times to resort guests.
