San Jose, Erie Motorcyclists Die in Separate Vehicle Collisions

Two fatal motorcycle collisions were reported recently in San Jose and Millcreek Township. In San Jose, a motorcyclist died on Branham Lane near Jarvis Avenue after a crash with another vehicle; a juvenile passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. This incident marks San Jose's 27th roadway death of the year and the third involving a motorcyclist. Separately, a 24-year-old man, Matthew Ryan Atangan, died after colliding with a minivan on Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive; the minivan driver sustained minor injuries and was cooperative with authorities. In Millcreek Township, a 34-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado at West 12th Street and Hilborn Avenue; the Silverado driver reportedly did not see the motorcycle when making a left turn. Investigations continue in both cases, with authorities seeking any additional information from the public.
