Seahawks Field Trade Interest in Mafe, Woolen
The Seattle Seahawks have emerged as legitimate contenders after a 38-14 win over Washington and are actively assessing roster moves ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline. General manager John Schneider has been described as “very aggressive” as Seattle looks to add offensive-line depth and potentially another receiver rather than pursue cap-driven departures. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports teams have inquired about outside linebacker Boye Mafe and cornerback Riq Woolen, though Seattle has been reluctant to move either; Woolen’s reduced playing time this season makes him the more plausible trade chip while Mafe remains a valuable young edge. Other reporting says Seattle may ultimately keep Woolen while exploring OL additions, suggesting any deadline moves might not involve big-name exits. Separately, the Minnesota Vikings — down backup Carson Wentz to season-ending surgery — could pursue a veteran quarterback such as Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson or Kirk Cousins before the deadline.
