Timothy Hickerson Arrested for Virginia Cold Case Murder

Timothy Hickerson, 43, was arrested in Palm Coast, Florida, after deputies stopped him for running a red light and discovered he had an outstanding warrant for second-degree murder and burglary from Virginia. Hickerson is a suspect in the 2010 disappearance and presumed murder of Shane Donahue, 23, who was last seen leaving his parents' home with Hickerson. The case went cold until investigators received new information linking Hickerson to a burglary at Donahue's home shortly before he went missing. Despite no remains being found, authorities presume Donahue is deceased. Hickerson, who had been living in Palm Coast since 2022, will remain in custody without bond until extradited to Virginia. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly emphasized the importance of law enforcement's vigilance, stating that fugitives will be apprehended regardless of where they flee.
