Buc-ee's first location in Ohio, situated in Huber Heights, has experienced delays, pushing its expected opening from late 2025 to the first quarter of 2026 due to various project issues. The initial construction began in August 2024 but was halted by a legal dispute between Huber Heights and Clark County over water and sewer service rights, which was resolved in December 2024. Challenges continued with infrastructure delays involving utility providers, further complicating the timeline. Buc-ee's representatives have assured that construction is now progressing, albeit at a slower pace, and remain optimistic about the new target date. Local residents express excitement for the store, known for its clean restrooms and extensive offerings, despite the setbacks. The store will feature 100 fueling positions, including electric vehicle chargers, and cover 74,000 square feet when completed.
