YouTubers Cleared After F1 Car Damage Inquiry

Three YouTubers—Morgan Burtwistle (AngryGinge), Charlie Clark (Chazza), and Samuel Imie (SamHam)—were arrested at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on suspicion of causing up to £30,000 in damage to a classic Formula 1 car after one of them allegedly climbed into the car while livestreaming. The trio denied causing any damage, stating they only sat in the car, and spent up to 15 hours in police custody before being released with no further action following an investigation. Police confirmed their release and footage of the incident circulated widely on social media. Separately, police are investigating the theft of a steering wheel from another F1 display car at the same event. Lando Norris’s first home Grand Prix victory drew additional attention to the weekend. The event took place in front of a record crowd at a rain-soaked Silverstone circuit.
