Kemba Walker Retires, Joins Charlotte Hornets Coaching Staff

Kemba Walker, after retiring from his 12-year NBA career, has joined the Charlotte Hornets as a player enhancement coach, returning to the team where he achieved significant success. The Hornets finalized their coaching staff for the 2024-25 season, led by head coach Charles Lee, and welcomed Walker back to the organization where he spent eight seasons and became their all-time leading scorer. Walker, a four-time NBA All-Star, also won the French League championship with AS Monaco before retiring. His hiring as a coach follows a successful playing career that included stints with other NBA teams like the Boston Celtics and his initial start with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2011.
