Multiple Bus Explosions in Central Israel Suspected Terror Attack

A series of explosions on buses in Bat Yam, a suburb of Tel Aviv, on Thursday evening is being investigated as a suspected terrorist attack, although no injuries have been reported. The Israeli police confirmed that three bombs detonated while two others were found and neutralized; all devices were equipped with timers. The blasts occurred shortly after Hamas returned the bodies of four Israeli hostages, contributing to heightened tensions. According to police, the attacks resembled past bombings from the Palestinian uprising of the 2000s, although such incidents have become rare. Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, are monitoring the situation closely, and the Shin Bet security agency has taken over the investigation. Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered increased military operations in the West Bank in response to the attacks, which are believed to originate from there.
