This win also signifies Columbia's second consecutive victory over Harvard, as they previously defeated them last season. Meanwhile, Harvard's men's basketball team showcased resilience by defeating Cornell 75-73, with Thomas Batties II leading the Crimson with 21 points. Despite a strong second-half comeback attempt by Cornell, they could not overcome a large first-half deficit. The Harvard women's basketball team also triumphed, decisively beating Cornell 66-29, capitalizing on the Big Red's 24 turnovers.
