James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has revealed that he is considering integrating Robert Pattinson's Batman into the broader DC Universe (DCU), although no final decisions have been made. Pattinson's portrayal of Batman, which debuted in Matt Reeves' 2022 film 'The Batman,' is currently part of DC's Elseworlds, a label for standalone stories outside the main continuity. Gunn has expressed interest in maintaining the ability to tell both DCU and Elseworlds stories. Matt Reeves, the director of 'The Batman,' emphasized the importance of the narrative he wants to tell and mentioned that discussions about integrating Pattinson into the DCU would depend on whether it makes sense for the story. The production of 'The Batman Part II' is set to begin this year, and the film's release has been delayed to 2027. Reeves remains focused on completing the sequel, and the decision about Pattinson's involvement in the DCU remains uncertain.
