Travis Head's career-best unbeaten 154 guided Australia to a seven-wicket victory over England in the first ODI at Trent Bridge, setting a new record for the highest ODI score by an Australian in England. Chasing 316, Australia finished at 317-3 with six overs to spare, extending their winning streak to 13 consecutive ODI matches. Marnus Labuschagne played a pivotal role, taking career-best bowling figures of 3-39 and scoring 77 not out in an unbroken 148-run partnership with Head. England, led by Harry Brook for the first time, collapsed from 201-2 to 315 all out, losing their last six wickets for just 59 runs. Adam Zampa also contributed with 3-49 in his 100th ODI appearance.
