EnCore Energy Doubles Uranium Processing Capacity at Alta Mesa
enCore Energy Corp. has successfully launched its second ion exchange circuit at the South Texas Alta Mesa In-Situ Recovery Uranium Central Processing Plant, effectively doubling its flow capacity from 2,500 to 5,000 gallons per minute. This expansion enhances uranium extraction efficiency and is anticipated to positively impact the company's revenue and return on investment. Alongside the new circuit, enCore has installed additional injection and extraction wells in Wellfield 7, which now utilizes approximately 75% of the processing capacity. The company is also accelerating its drilling operations to maintain consistent uranium production, as the wellfield decline curve at Alta Mesa shows a steep drop-off in uranium capture within just over four months. Executive Chairman William M. Sheriff highlighted the correlation between flow rate and uranium capture efficiency, expressing optimism about the enhanced extraction process. Overall, these developments mark a strategic move for enCore to strengthen its market position in the uranium sector.
