Olympic Ugandan Runner Murdered in Kenya

Ugandan Olympic runner, Benjamin Kiplagat, aged 34, was found murdered in Eldoret, Kenya. He specialized in the 3000m steeplechase, participating in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics and reaching the semifinals in the 2012 London Games. He was found in a car with stab wounds to his chest and neck. Local Kenyan police have launched an investigation into his death. World Athletics has expressed shock and sadness at Kiplagat's passing.
