Pakistani runners in NYC Marathon

At the 2024 New York City Marathon, Pakistani runners showcased remarkable performances, with 12 finishing in under four hours. Danish Elahi led the pack with a time of 3:26:50, followed closely by Rufi Shehzada and Pakistani-American Babar Ghias. Khoula Ahmed was the fastest female Pakistani runner, completing the marathon in 3:43:02. The marathon featured 36 Pakistani participants, including Pakistani expats from various countries, highlighting their pride during the Parade of Nations. Abdi Nageeye and Sheila Chepkirui won the elite men's and women's races respectively, each making their NYC Marathon debuts. The event remains a prestigious challenge, drawing over 50,000 runners from around the globe.
