Royal Caribbean Star of the Seas
Royal Caribbean International has announced the upcoming debut of its second Icon Class cruise ship, Star of the Seas, set to launch from Port Canaveral in August 2025. This ship will mirror the features of its predecessor, Icon of the Seas, while introducing new attractions such as the Lincoln Park Supper Club, a 1930s Chicago-inspired dining experience. Star of the Seas will offer Caribbean cruises and will be equipped with over 40 dining options, six waterslides, and unique neighborhoods designed for families and adults alike. Notable areas include Thrill Island, Chill Island, and the AquaDome, which features an AquaTheater for performances. Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean, emphasized that this new ship aims to provide the ultimate vacation experience by combining beach, resort, and adventure elements. The ship will accommodate 5,610 guests and will also feature stops at the private island Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
