Elijah Pritchett Transfers to Nebraska Football

Nebraska football has secured the commitment of former Alabama offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett, addressing their need for a veteran presence on the offensive line. A 6-foot-6, 327-pound player, Pritchett started 11 games at right tackle and one at left tackle during his time at Alabama, where he faced tough SEC defenses. Despite allowing six sacks and 23 hurries, his potential remains high, as he was a consensus five-star recruit in 2022 and ranked among the top offensive tackles in the transfer portal. Pritchett has two years of eligibility left and is expected to compete for a starting position immediately, filling the gap left by departing right tackle Bryce Benhart. Coach Kalen DeBoer praised Pritchett's development over the past season, indicating room for improvement in consistency. Nebraska is also considering other offensive line transfers, including New Mexico State's Shiyazh Pete, as they build their roster for 2025.
