Eagles Extend Lane Johnson and Sign Azeez Ojulari

The Philadelphia Eagles have extended the contract of their star right tackle, Lane Johnson, through the 2027 season with a one-year extension. This restructured deal includes an additional $8 million over the next two years and $30 million in guarantees, ensuring Johnson will earn $48 million, with $40 million guaranteed, over this period. Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, has been a cornerstone of the Eagles' offensive line, contributing significantly to their success, including two Super Bowl championships. His leadership and performance have been pivotal, notably helping running back Saquon Barkley achieve over 2,000 rushing yards last season. Alongside Johnson, the Eagles' offensive line, considered one of the best in the NFL, remains largely intact, with key players like Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson also under contract through 2028. Additionally, the Eagles signed outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari to bolster their defense after recent losses in free agency.
