While Jackson's hamstring injury is considered less severe, Guiu's adductor injury could keep him out for an extended period. Chelsea did not sign an attacker during the window, a situation Maresca claims to have no regrets about, emphasizing that the club addressed their needs adequately. The only new addition was 19-year-old Mathis Amougou from St Etienne, while notable departures included João Félix, who has joined AC Milan on loan after a lack of playing time. Maresca explained that the decision to loan Félix was made collectively, citing a need for defensive balance. The club is also dealing with uncertainty surrounding Mykhailo Mudryk, who is under provisional suspension for a failed drugs test.
