Farm Aid 40th Anniversary Brings Concert to Minnesota
Farm Aid will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a major concert on September 20, 2025, at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, marking the event's first appearance in Minnesota. Founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp will headline, alongside board members Dave Matthews and Margo Price, with additional performances by Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, and others yet to be announced. Since 1985, Farm Aid has raised nearly $80 million to support family farmers and advocate for sustainable, resilient agriculture in the face of challenges like climate change and corporate consolidation. The event will feature HOMEGROWN Concessions with food from ecological family farms and a HOMEGROWN Village with educational activities on farming, climate, and food systems. Tickets go on sale May 16, with a presale on May 14, and prices range from $101 to $290. Organizers and artists highlight the continuing struggles of family farmers and the importance of supporting a just and sustainable food system.
