American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special Set

The American Music Awards (AMAs) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special two-hour broadcast on October 6, 2024, featuring performances from iconic artists including Nelly, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and Sheila E. Nelly will pay tribute to hip-hop with special guests, while Nile Rodgers will perform 'Le Freak' and his collaboration 'Get Lucky.' The event will also highlight 50 years of achievements by female artists, with Sheila E. joining Chaka Khan for a performance. Additional appearances will include celebrities like AJ McLean, Samuel L. Jackson, and Carrie Underwood. The show, which will not present awards this year, aims to reflect on the rich history of music and its cultural impact, streaming on Paramount+. On The Rocks™ will be the official cocktail partner, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
