Surat has also announced free travel for women and their children on city buses and BRTS on August 19. These initiatives aim to facilitate safe and convenient travel for women during this culturally significant festival, which celebrates sibling bonds. Each state is implementing measures to ensure smooth operations and encourage participation among women.
