Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine's military intelligence chief, has expressed serious concerns regarding North Korea's increasing military aid to Russia, particularly artillery ammunition, which he claims is significantly escalating the conflict in Ukraine. Speaking at a conference in Kyiv, Budanov noted that the scale of North Korean supplies is crucial for Russia's military efforts, intensifying hostilities especially on the eastern front. He also highlighted Russia's ramped-up production of guided bombs and Iskander missiles, which are causing extensive damage to Ukraine's critical infrastructure, leading to widespread power outages. With over 30 months into the war, Ukrainian forces are stretched thin while attempting to counter Russian advances and mount incursions into Russia's Kursk region. Additionally, Budanov warned that Russia might face a recruitment crisis in mid-2025, potentially affecting their military operations.
