Firefighters Rescue Woman from San Bernardino Manhole
A woman was rescued after falling 15-20 feet into a manhole in San Bernardino, California, where she had been trapped since the previous night. Firefighters received a call around 11 a.m. on November 20 and quickly initiated a technical rescue operation, utilizing a 100-foot aerial ladder. The San Bernardino County Fire Urban Search & Rescue team assessed her injuries before placing her in a harness and lifting her to safety. She was conscious and reported suffering from multiple musculoskeletal injuries, later transported to a local trauma center in moderate condition. The rescue operation took approximately 90 minutes, and no firefighters were injured during the process. Crews from the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department secured the manhole site post-rescue.
