Freshmen Athletes Garner Weekly Honors Across Sports

Valparaiso guard All Wright received the Missouri Valley Conference's Freshman of the Week honor for a second time after a 26-point performance against Central Michigan. In the Big Ten, Illinois guard Kasparas Jakucionis and Rutgers' Dylan Harper, who also secured the NCAA March Madness Player of the Week award, were named Freshman of the Week. UConn's Liam McNeeley was recognized as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the third time this season after a standout game against Gonzaga, and he is a projected NBA lottery pick. Additionally, three Valparaiso women's volleyball players were honored for their academic achievements, maintaining over a 3.5 GPA.
