Puppy Bowl XXI to Feature 142 Adoptable Dogs

Puppy Bowl XXI, airing on February 9 on Animal Planet, features 142 puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and two countries, including 11 special needs pups, in a bid to encourage pet adoption. From Missouri, Charlotte, Astro, and MardiPaw will represent the Humane Society, with Charlotte also competing in the Pupularity Playoffs. Arizona's representatives include Delulu and Jake, Shih Tzu and Maltese mixes, alongside Felicity and Akimel, showcasing the diversity of breeds participating. New York sends several competitors, such as Carl, a blind Bulldog mix, and Andy, an American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Kentucky's Julep, a St. Bernard mix, and Colonel, a Beagle, will also vie for the coveted Lombarky Trophy. The event is a beloved prelude to the Super Bowl, spotlighting rescued dogs and promoting adoption across the nation.
