Santa Monica Police Arrest Suspect for Attempted Murder in Stabbing

Authorities in Santa Monica arrested 24-year-old Malvin Walker in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on August 31 near Ocean Front Walk, where a restaurant employee was attacked while on his lunch break. The victim sustained multiple non-life-threatening stab wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Walker was apprehended on September 3 by patrol officers without incident and charged with attempted murder, felony vandalism, and held on an outstanding $51,000 warrant for battery. The assault took place at the top of a pedestrian staircase connecting Ocean Front Walk to Appian Way, and the suspect fled on foot after the attack.
