Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are set to direct and star in a new horror-comedy titled 'Family Movie,' which will feature their children, Travis and Sosie Bacon. The film, based on a screenplay by Dan Beers, follows a family of filmmakers who find themselves in a real-life horror scenario when a body is discovered on their low-budget slasher set. To continue filming, they must comically cover up the murder, leading to a series of chaotic events. The project will be produced by the Bacon family through Mixed Breed Films, in collaboration with Norman Golightly at Dark Castle Entertainment. Both Bacon and Sedgwick have significant ties to the horror genre, with Bacon's early career starting with 'Friday the 13th' and Sedgwick also having starred in horror films.
