Community Events Promote Child Development Across Michigan, Ohio, Washington

A variety of family-friendly events and parks are available for children and their families this spring. The Pierce County Interagency Coordinating Council is hosting a free, inclusive, garden-themed event for children under five, featuring sensory play, crafts, and opportunities to connect with local support services. In Broome County, the Family Violence Prevention Council is holding 'Come and Play Day' to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month, offering activities like a scavenger hunt, art recognition, and family bingo. Meanwhile, the Wayne County Home & Garden Show will feature nearly 200 exhibitors, a community plant sale, and child-oriented activities including a scavenger hunt and children’s garden. These events and venues aim to promote learning, family engagement, and community connection.
