The Norwegian national football team faced an unusual incident when the country's anti-doping agency mistakenly selected two deceased players, Jorgen Juve and Einar Gundersen, for testing ahead of their Nations League matches. Juve, Norway's all-time top scorer, died in 1983, while Gundersen passed away in 1962. Coach Stale Solbakken expressed disbelief at the selection, initially fearing it was a prank, and stated that the agency may have confused the names with those from an all-time top scorers list. Additionally, Oscar Bobb, who was also named for testing, was unavailable due to a broken leg. The Anti-Doping Norway acknowledged the error and committed to reviewing their procedures to prevent such mistakes in the future. Only current players Erling Haaland and Antonio Nusa underwent the required tests during the visit.
