Two Oakland Women Arrested for Assault, Carjacking in Healdsburg

Two Oakland women, Davina Humphrey and Amina Vaden, were arrested after allegedly carjacking and assaulting an elderly couple in Healdsburg, California. The incident occurred at Byron Gibbs Park, where the suspects initially approached the couple under the pretense of needing help before pulling a gun and striking the wife in the head. The suspects then forced the husband at gunpoint and knifepoint to drive their Subaru Forester away but were unable to operate the manual transmission vehicle themselves. A police pursuit ensued on Highway 101, ending when the husband drove the vehicle off the road; both suspects fled on foot but were quickly apprehended. Charges against them include carjacking, kidnapping, robbery, child abuse due to a child being present during the crime, and assault with a firearm. The wife was hospitalized, the husband was uninjured, and the suspects are being held on million-dollar bail.
