Two separate dog rescues took place in Texas this week, demonstrating effective collaboration among local agencies and communities. In Conroe, firefighters, community members, and the San Jacinto River Authority rescued a frightened dog named Zoey stranded on rocks near the Lake Conroe Dam, later reuniting her with her family via social media outreach. In Lubbock, coordinated efforts by Lubbock Fire Rescue, the Heavy Rescue team, Public Works Department, and Animal Services safely freed a medium-sized mixed breed dog trapped in a sewer drain near the Amazon Fulfillment Facility.
