East Bridgewater Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Jason Giles, a 21-year-old from East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, was arrested on multiple child pornography charges after an investigation led by the nonprofit organization Bikers Against Predators. The investigation began when Giles was contacted through social media by individuals posing as minors, which prompted the organization to alert local authorities. Police seized Giles' phone, discovering child pornography and evidence of his attempts to solicit inappropriate content from presumed minors. During his arraignment, Giles claimed he believed he was conversing with an underage girl and showed signs of cognitive issues, as his lawyer argued he is on the autism spectrum. He was charged with possession of child pornography, disseminating obscene matter to a minor, enticing a child under 16, and posing/exhibiting a child in a sexual act. His bail was set at $500,000, and he is subject to GPS-enforced home confinement pending further legal proceedings.
