IDF Kills Hamas Sniper Wounding Soldier in Northern Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that troops from the 401st Armored Brigade killed a Hamas sniper who wounded an Israeli soldier in the northern Gaza Strip. The injured soldier sustained light wounds and was evacuated for medical treatment. This targeted strike was part of a broader IDF campaign coordinated with Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet security agency to dismantle Hamas's military capabilities. Additional operations included the 215th Artillery Regiment killing militants in northern Gaza, the 36th Division destroying underground infrastructure in Khan Younis, and the 99th Division dismantling tunnel shafts near Israeli border communities. In southern Gaza, the 143rd Division directed an Air Force strike on a terror cell attempting to plant explosives, killing all members. These ongoing operations aim to prevent future attacks on Israeli forces amid the continuing conflict.
