Dante Allen, a four-star shooting guard from Montverde Academy, has officially committed to the University of Miami for the 2025 men's basketball recruiting class, following his decommitment from Villanova after the dismissal of head coach Kyle Neptune. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound guard is ranked No. 42 nationally by ESPN and is known for his strong physical play, averaging 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game during his senior season. Allen's decision is seen as significant for new head coach Jai Lucas, who is establishing his inaugural recruiting class at Miami. His commitment was influenced by his longstanding relationship with Miami assistant coach Andrew Moran, who helped develop him during his time with the Nightrydas Elite AAU team.
