TBS Cancels 'Wipeout' Revival, 'The Cube', Confirms Renewed Series Status

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the cancellation of TBS shows Wipeout and The Cube, with Jason Sarlanis, President of TNT and TBS, citing a need to recalibrate their programming strategy. The Wipeout revival, which features contestants navigating updated obstacle courses, was hosted by John Cena and Nicole Byer and had initially debuted in 2021. The Cube, hosted by Dwyane Wade, had contestants facing challenges in a unique glass box format but has also been deemed not aligned with the network's future direction. Despite the cancellations, there is potential for a second season of Sarah Silverman's Stupid Pet Tricks, which performed well in its first season. Sarlanis acknowledged that while Wipeout is comedic and enjoyable, the costs associated with these shows were not sustainable for the network. Both cancellations were confirmed during the Realscreen Summit in Miami.
