Jared Keeso's I Kill The Bear Comedy Begins Production With Star-Studded Cast in Sudbury
The comedy series 'I Kill The Bear,' created, written by, and starring Jared Keeso, has begun production in Sudbury, Ontario, with a scheduled premiere on Crave in 2026. The show centers on a family of bear wranglers working in the film industry, who decide to make their current film their final one after a century in the business, blending absurdist comedy with generational themes. The six-episode series features an ensemble cast including Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Adrian Holmes, Georges St-Pierre, Kristin Kreuk, Jonathan Torrens, and others, marking Kroeger's significant scripted TV debut. Produced by New Metric Media in collaboration with Play Fun Games, the production team includes executive producers Dan and Sean Skene, Mark Montefiore, Kara Haflidson, and supervising producer Max Wolfond. The series is part of a broader multi-year deal between Keeso and Bell Media to develop content for Crave, including Letterkenny spin-offs. International distribution will be handled by New Metric Media, promising a unique comedic perspective and a memorable viewing experience.
