Two Teens Charged in USPS Mail Carrier Robbery
Tyler Savinon, an 18-year-old from Lowell, Massachusetts, has been arrested for allegedly directing a robbery of a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier in Nashua, New Hampshire, on April 16. Savinon is charged with aiding and abetting the robbery, which involved a BB gun and was captured on surveillance footage. Prosecutors allege he instructed co-conspirators, including another 18-year-old, Baraka Janvier, and a juvenile, to steal a master key from the postal worker to access blue mail collection boxes. Investigators utilized information and video from local residents to identify the suspects. Following the robbery, Savinon reportedly used the stolen key to access at least two collection boxes and was involved in financial crimes such as check washing. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison, as well as fines and supervised release.
