Aberdeen Football Club Reports Record Turnover

Aberdeen FC has reported a record turnover of £23.6 million for the financial year ending June 30, 2024, marking a 49% increase from the previous year, largely driven by their participation in the UEFA Conference League and domestic cup competitions. Despite this impressive revenue growth, the club recorded a net loss of £880,000, primarily due to a significant drop in player sales, which fell from £7.4 million to £1.3 million. The sale of key players, including Ylber Ramadani, contributed to the loss, while the record transfer of striker Bojan Miovski to Girona, expected to exceed £6 million, will be accounted for in the next financial year. The wage bill increased to £12.7 million, but the turnover-to-wage ratio improved significantly from 76% to 54%, reflecting better financial management. Chairman Dave Cormack emphasized the club's commitment to financial sustainability and strategic growth, noting that the positive EBITDA of £847,000 showcases the club's potential for future profitability. The club's commercial and retail income also rose by 13% to £7 million, further strengthening their financial position.
