The Simpsons Leaves Channel 4 for E4

The animated sitcom 'The Simpsons' will leave Channel 4 in the UK after a 20-year run, moving to E4 starting with season 32 in January 2025. New episodes will initially premiere exclusively on Disney+ before being aired on E4, with Channel 4's streaming platform receiving the episodes later for a limited time. Season 36 is set to launch on Disney+ in spring 2025, maintaining a staggered release schedule. Polly Scates, Channel 4's head of acquisitions, expressed excitement over the continuation of their historic relationship with the show. This shift reflects the evolving media landscape as audiences increasingly turn to streaming services. Disney+ already hosts all previous seasons, the 2007 film, and additional shorts featuring the characters.
