CBS Returns NCIS to Tuesdays, Cancels Two FBI Shows

CBS has restructured its 2025-26 primetime schedule, returning NCIS to its longtime Tuesday slot in a 'Super Tuesday' block alongside NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney, with crossovers possible for the show's 500th episode in Season 23. The FBI franchise will now air on Mondays, featuring the main series followed by the new spinoff FBI: CIA, after the cancellation of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. CBS is also introducing new shows such as the comedy DMV and Sheriff Country, positioning them with established series to strengthen ratings. Executives emphasize the benefits of franchise blocks and counter-programming against sports and reality TV. The strategy aims to retain loyal viewers with proven brands while offering fresh content. Premiere dates for the new schedule have not yet been announced.
