SoCon Pitcher of Year Brady Frederick Commits to Tennessee Baseball

Brady Frederick, a standout submarine right-handed pitcher from East Tennessee State University, has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team after entering the transfer portal. In 2025, Frederick earned Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year honors with an 8-2 record, a 2.67 ERA, and 76 strikeouts in 77.2 innings, showcasing a unique cut-fastball and slider combination. A Knoxville native and Bearden High School alumnus, Frederick expressed excitement about returning home to play under head coach Tony Vitello and pitching coach Frank Anderson, both known for their competitiveness and player development. Frederick's addition marks the fourth right-handed pitcher transfer to join Tennessee this offseason, following Clay Edmondson, Bo Rhudy, and Mason Estrada. His experience includes a notable performance against Tennessee in March, where he struck out four batters in 3.2 innings, contributing to ETSU's 7-6 extra-innings victory. Frederick has two years of eligibility remaining and will be eligible for the 2026 MLB Draft after his junior season.
