Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, the film will be produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch through their company 87North, known for action films like 'Bullet Train' and 'Nobody.' The story follows Rico Rodriguez, an operative for a fictional U.S. agency, as he works to destabilize oppressive regimes, echoing themes from the real-life U.S. invasion of Panama. Despite the long development history of the project, which has reportedly been in the works for nearly 15 years, specific plot details and casting information remain undisclosed. The film aims to capitalize on the success of other video game adaptations that have performed well at the box office.
