Eminem Documentary 'Stans' Sets Global Cinema Release

The Eminem-produced documentary 'Stans,' directed by Steven Leckart, will have a limited U.S. theatrical run exclusively at AMC Theatres from August 7-10, 2025, including at least two daily showings at over 135 locations and a week-long awards-qualifying engagement at AMC Empire 25 in New York. Internationally, Trafalgar Releasing will distribute the film to 1,600 theaters across more than 50 countries on the same dates. The documentary explores Eminem's career, his relationship with superfans, and the phenomenon of fandom, using stylized recreations, rare archival footage, intimate interviews, and a new interview with Eminem. Its title is inspired by Eminem's 2000 hit 'Stan,' a song whose title has become a widely recognized term for obsessive fans and is now included in major dictionaries. 'Stans' examines the impact of social media on artist-fan relationships and has received praise for its discussion of parasocial connections and mental health. The film premiered at SXSW London and is expected to stream on Paramount+ later in 2025.
