Ireland, Norway, Spain Recognize Palestinian State Amid Gaza Ceasefire Talks

Türkiye continues to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza and backs mediation efforts to end hostilities, having also halted trade relations with Israel since May 2024. Meanwhile, Ireland has formally recognized Palestinian statehood, urging other European nations to follow suit, with Spain and Norway also officially recognizing Palestine recently. The Irish government framed its decision as a historic moment, reflecting a national empathy rooted in its own history of colonization.
