Jason Ritter Joins HBO's 'Lanterns' as Recurring Role

Jason Ritter has been cast in a recurring role in HBO's upcoming series 'Lanterns,' based on the DC Comics Green Lantern. He will play Billy Macon, a charming character who follows his conspiracy-minded and ambitious father, William Macon, portrayed by Garret Dillahunt. The series focuses on Green Lantern Corps members Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) as they investigate a murder mystery on Earth. 'Lanterns,' produced by HBO and DC Studios, is written and executive produced by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King. The show, originally a Max Original, was moved to HBO with an eight-episode order. Ritter, known for roles in 'Matlock' and 'Poker Face,' joins a cast that includes Kelly Macdonald, Poorna Jagannathan, and Ulrich Thomsen.
