Library of Congress Inducts 25 Recordings to National Registry

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden described the registry as 'our evolving nation’s playlist,' highlighting its role in preserving America’s sound heritage. Additional noteworthy entries include the Microsoft Windows reboot chime and Mary J. Blige's 'My Life,' showcasing recordings that resonate with various aspects of American life. With this year's additions, the total number of titles in the registry has reached 675, amidst nearly four million recorded items held by the Library.
