Two Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crashes Kill Three in Green Bay, St. Louis

A fatal multi-vehicle crash in south St. Louis on westbound I-44 near Arsenal Street resulted in one death, with multiple lanes closed as the investigation continues. Separately, a serious crash on State Highway 172 in Allouez near Green Bay claimed the life of one person who was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. and led to the closure of all eastbound lanes for over two hours, causing significant traffic delays. Officials from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office indicated that alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the Highway 172 crash. Traffic on Highway 172 was reopened by late morning after emergency response efforts. Both incidents remain under investigation as authorities gather more information.
