Blaine Kenny and Dylan Weir caught a 540-kg, 12-foot great white shark at Navarre Beach, Florida, using a 150-pound swordfish head and 80-pound yellowfin tuna as bait. Kenny struggled for nearly an hour to tame the shark before drawing it out of the water and releasing it back into the water. Researchers at California State University found that sharks swim much closer to humans than previously thought.
