Former Suns Employee Files Discrimination Lawsuit

Andrea Trischan, a former Phoenix Suns employee, has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Arizona Attorney General's civil rights division, alleging racial discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, and is seeking $60 million in damages. Hired as the program manager of diversity, equity, and inclusion in September 2022, Trischan claims she faced retaliation for addressing workplace issues identified in an NBA investigation of former owner Robert Sarver. Trischan's attorney stated she endured overt racist comments and a hostile work environment that were ignored by HR and executive leadership. The Suns have dismissed her allegations as baseless and egregious, accusing her of making false claims for financial gain. The Arizona Attorney General's office is currently investigating the matter.
