Back to the Future Guitar Search Marks 40 Years

The instrument, missing since shortly after the first film wrapped, was last traced to Norman's Rare Guitars in Los Angeles, with its current whereabouts unknown. The search is being promoted through videos and a dedicated hotline and website, and will feature in the upcoming documentary 'Lost to the Future.' The campaign highlights how the guitar has inspired musicians such as John Mayer and Chris Martin and underscores its lasting cultural significance. Despite renewed fan enthusiasm, the film's creators have confirmed there are no plans for sequels or spin-offs. The initiative aims to recover a famed piece of movie and music history.
